Duck race name picker
Paste your names or choices, press Start race, and let the ducks decide. The winner is drawn fairly the moment the race begins. The race is how everyone in the room gets to watch it happen.
From a list of names to a winner in three moves
Paste the list
One name or choice per line: students, teammates, raffle ticket numbers, dinner options. Each one gets its own duck and a race number from 01 up.
Press Start race
The finishing order is drawn right then with your browser's cryptographic random generator. A 3, 2, 1 countdown plays, and the ducks leave the gate.
Watch the board
The tote board beside the course shows every position as it changes. Pin a duck as yours, follow the overtakes, and see the winner announced at the line. Then race again, or remove the winner and race the rest.

The ducks put on the show. The math picks the winner.
A duck race only works if nobody can call it rigged. Duck Race Derby decides the full finishing order once, at the start, using the Web Crypto API and an unbiased shuffle. With 12 entrants, each one has exactly a 1 in 12 chance of winning.
Colors, hats, lane positions, and the duck you pin as yours are decoration. None of them is an input to the draw, and there is no setting that lets a host choose the winner.
See exactly how the fair draw works, and where a local race's proof ends.

Quick answers
Is Duck Race Derby free?
Yes. The race is free, needs no account, and has no ads over the course or controls.
Do the names I paste get uploaded?
Not unless you choose to. Your lineup stays in your browser. It only leaves your device if you save a race file, copy a setup link, or sign in to sync saved lineups between your computers. See the privacy notice for details.
How many names can one race hold?
Up to 100. Every duck gets a lane, and above 30 ducks the course switches to a packed field where number tags follow the leaders and your pinned duck.
Can I run it on a projector or smartboard?
Yes. Press the fullscreen button and the course and position board fill the screen together, with larger names on the board.
